I'm a research technician and part-time professor at the Department of Evolutionary Biology, Ecology and Environmental Sciences at the University of Barcelona. In 2020 I completed my PhD on biological interactions and resilience of seagrass ecosystems.

My primary research interest revolves around the ecology and conservation of benthic marine communities of the Mediterranean Sea dominated by primary producers, with a specific emphasis on seagrasses. The key areas of my research encompass: 1) direct and indirect biological interactions, particularly facilitation, 2) the effects of environmental disturbances on these interactions, 3) the resilience of ecosystems to global and local change (increasing temperature, eutrophication, mechanical disturbances...), and 4) the long-term monitoring programs aimed at understanding the dynamics of seagrass ecosystems.
